Pictoright A world without pictures

What would the world look like without pictures?

Pictoright deals with the copyrights of visual artists, photographers, architects and designers. It collects and distributes payments and watches out for copyright infringements. Since it does not actually own any copyrights itself, we decided to use no pictures at all in its corporate brochure. Instead, we used frames and short descriptions in a classic and straightforward layout, thus creating an image of a world without pictures.

The font

A customised font has been developed based on bitmap typography to represent an increasing influence of digital media on the usage of images.

The grid

Based on the frames a grid can be made, which generates infinite patterns we use for covers, backgrounds and other decoration.
