Heritage through a new lens.

What Design Can Do Mexico — Campaign, Event Design, Identity, Motion

The Challenge
Host an annual edition of What Design Can Do in Mexico City to celebrate design as a force for positive change. The campaign needed to unite a diverse audience—from designers to diplomats, activists to architects—under a shared vision of design’s potential to shape a better future.

The Strategy
Develop a visual identity rooted in traditional Mexican pattern work, then reimagine it through a kaleidoscopic effect to symbolize the festival’s dynamic, inclusive, and transformative spirit. The goal was to honor cultural heritage while reflecting the forward-thinking energy of the event.

The Solution
We created a vibrant, layered identity that merges tradition with innovation. The kaleidoscopic patterns serve as a metaphor for the festival’s mission: amplifying diverse perspectives to create something greater than the sum of its parts. The design adapts seamlessly across campaigns, digital platforms, and physical spaces, ensuring a cohesive and engaging experience.
